Around 1900  people were looking desperately already many years for the missing set  in their collection of trade cards.  Nowadays, just as then, sometimes the price of a set is extremely high when encountered  … Since we  have the originals; on request we do edit Collectomania Limited Editions of  such 6 cards.  Dimensions are larger and we print on reverse our logo, number and date,  to avoid confusions with originals

This original set of 6 cards was printed before 1890 in Paris by APPEL rue Delta 12.    The printing house from F. Appel was at that time one of the best Lithographic printers.  His printing Company was bought by PARROT in 1890; and they sold the litho stones to the USA were they were used for others Companies advertising.  In France the original chromo litho cards were edited for ZAN  réglisse; and later for many other corporations; manufactures and business.  We have the original set,  available for sale from time to time, so always inquire .

Size of our Liebigs dimension cards will not correspond with originals.   We print larger to avoid confusion with the original card.  Original litho chromo cards have most of the time Liebigs dimensions which are approximately 8 cm X 11 cm.   All Collectomania Liebigs Dimension Cards are high resolution scans from the original card.  Those old chromo sets were taken for scanning from the collection of proprietor; Albert Van den Bosch’s Image Library’s Archive; to duplicate them we printed on  professional grade Fuji Crystal Archive Photographic Paper for clear and sharp images.
